Global collaborations are in our nationwide interest. The NHS is increasingly engaging in global health work, with growing interest from NHS personnel for overseas learning opportunities and an increasing need for NHS knowledge and services worldwide.

HEE has legal duty to make sure that our future workforce is available in the best numbers and has the necessary abilities, values and behaviours to meet patients' needs and deliver high quality care. As the NHS workforce organisation for England, HEE is distinctively put to support the NHS to become a worldwide centre of excellence for labor force development. HEE can do this by embedding global skills, finding out and development, supporting local NHS organisations to participate in worldwide activity as a method to attract and keep staff, bringing knowledgeable overseas staff to work in the NHS on placements and likewise by playing a facilitative role to guarantee the cumulative efforts and know-how of the NHS is coordinated and lined up to the of Government departments including FCDO and DHSC.
